A named calculation, on one line or in braces. 1 example.
A one-line function is the expression after :=. A brace body sets result, and that is the value of the call. Declare the function before you call it. A built-in name cannot be reused as a function. A loop is legal only inside the braces. Old does not run one. Interpreter and Compiler do.
